10 Weeks to Swim Guarantee

POOL-ology’s 10 Weeks to Swim Guarantee is a promise that from the day we break ground on your project to the day we plaster and fill up your swimming pool, that we will not let more than 10 weeks go by.

POOL-ology will write you a check at the end of the project for $5,000.

There will still be some outstanding items on your project after plaster and fill up.  They may include Final Cleanup and topsoil, Sundek, mastic, final inspections, equipment overview, secondary masonry items like fire pits or exterior walls built on flatwork, septic modifications and any landscaping or irrigation repair.

During the summer there are obvious reasons – you can start to swim!  But excavation to plaster is an important timeline any time of year.  One reason is that your pool is substantially complete and all major trades have completed their work.  The rest of the outstanding work is relatively inexpensive so you will feel comfortable that the money you are investing will has turned into results.  

The second reason is that your backyard will begin to return to normal – it will no longer be a major construction zone as the remaining trades are small and less invasive.  You can complete irrigation repair and other backyard projects if they are not contracted with POOL-ology.  The job site is 90% clean at this point of the project, your fence can be put back up, and you can start to enjoy your backyard again.

We don’t know of any other pool builders who offer a guarantee like this, but if you are considering another builder you should ask them to match POOL-ology’s 10 Weeks to Swim Guarantee.  You shouldn’t have to bear the risk of your builder missing their timeline.  A good guarantee is important to transfer that risk back to your builder.

There are some exclusions and exceptions to our Guarantee.  Below is a full list of disclaimers.

Timeline begins on commencement of Excavation and ends upon completion of interior finish.  An allowance of 8 adverse weather days is included within the 10 week period.  If adverse weather days exceed 8, each additional adverse weather day will add 2 days to the guarantee period.  An adverse weather day is any day with at least 0.1” or a day where the temperature does not exceed 45°F or does exceed 105°F.  Adverse weather days will be based on the National Weather Service website using data from the appropriate Weather Forecast Office and closest data collection point to the project location.  All draws must be paid within 3 days of draw request.  Final draw must be paid before interior finish is complete.  Three days will be added to the guarantee period for each day a draw is outstanding beyond the 3 day grace period. Any delays to scheduling requested by Buyer will nullify guarantee. New construction homes, infinity edge pools, projects with grottos, travertine decks, and outdoor structures including outdoor kitchens are not eligible for guarantee.  If it is determined that the interior finish cannot be installed because of ground water weeping through the Gunite shell, the guarantee period will be nullified since the timeline for interior finish is not within POOL-ology’s control. Pool is considered finished for Guarantee upon initial filling of the pool.
